Description
The mural depicts scenes of 1920's downtown Gillespie, a farmer and his wife ready to go to town, and the WWI monument which stood at the intersection of Chestnut and Macoupin Streets. The mural was designed and painted by Walldog artists Bernie Gietl and D.L. Whitlocck-Gietl.
