Description
Established in 1999, the Coal Country Chamber of Commerce serves the communities within the District 7 Gillespie School District: Benld, Dorchester, Eagarville, East Gillespie, Gillespie, Mt. Clare, Sawyerville, and Wilsonville. The purpose of the Coal Country Chamber of Commerce is to enrich the quality of life within our communities by providing economic growth and opportunity, civic pride, and fostering community involvement in a unified and proactive manner. Our membership is made up of municipalities/government bodies, local businesses, non-profit organizations and individuals from all over Macoupin County. Our office is located in downtown Gillespie. Among the projects and events that we organize are the Summer Concert Series in Benld City Park, the CCCC Fall Festival and Tour de Coal Bike Ride, and Snack with Santa.
